Have you ever heard of a baseball game lasting 19 innings without a run? Well the New York Mets and Saint Louis Cardinals played a game at the Busch Stadium (the Saint Louis Cardinals stadium) that lasted 20 innings, but 19 innings without a run! Finally, the Mets scored 1 run in the 19th inning, but the Cardinals weren't done yet! The Cardinals scored 1 run in that inning. Then, the Mets scored one more run and the Cardinals didn't score again! Both teams combined used 19 pitchers! That is a baseball record (for the longest game and amount of pitchers used in a game)! This game lasted 6 hours and 30 minutes long (it started at 6:10 p.m. and ended at 12:40 p.m.). Believe it or not, the Mets and Cardinals had a game at 1:10 p.m. the next day. What a game!
